How it works

Google is the top search engine with the highest counts of daily visitors currently. Naturally it is the number 1 choice of advertisers when placing their ads.

AdWords
Google will take these advertiments and spread them all over the internet placing them on websites belonging to willing webmasters. Google gives these ads a special name - AdWords. When visitors to these sites click on an ads (AdWords), the owner of that particular AdWord will be charged certain amount, the amount is determined by the owner when bidding for where he wants the position of his ads on a page to be. The higher the bid the higher the placement position will be.

AdSense
The same piece of advertisement will be called AdSense by Google when talking to website owners whose pages are hosting the ads.
Google will take portion of the payment which it charged the advertiser and pays the site owner. Therefore the more people visiting your site and click on ads displayed on your site the more money you will make.

Tips
The key to making money through AdSense is to attract visitors to your website.When someone type a search term or phrase in the search box, the higher is position of your page appearing on the results returned, the better is your chance of attracting him to visit your website.On the other hand,if your webpage is not within the first two pages of the search results, then the chance of your website being visited is very slim. Worse still if your website is not indexed by the search engines at all.Google emphasizes very much on content of your site. If your site have good content, it will gain good ranking and placed high on the search results. Therefore make sure your website has good content.

Original works
The best content as judged by Google and other search engines are those written by you yourself. These are original, and the search engines classify original materials as number one.
Again, start by writing about things you know well or which you are passionate about. If you are writing an eBook, you can publish the articles on your website one at a time as your work on the eBook is progressing.Then you collect all these articles and compile them into a book at the end. Hence you are killing two birds with one stone.

Free articles
If you have run out of ideas on what to write, don't despair, you can find free articles for your website at article directories like EzineArticles.com, iSnare.com, Articlebase.com and many others.
Don't just copy and paste the free articles onto your website, it will be a pure waste of your time. Please remember that you are not the only one who has access to these articles, there may be hundreds of people who had used the same articles before you. Google's spider will not consider them as fresh content but as duplicate content instead. Google and other search engines will not give your website any credit for posting duplicate content.
Rewrite the articles in your own words, what you want is the ideas behind these articles not the writer's style of writing. Rewrite them and inject in your personal touch then they become your own articles.

Hire someone
If you are really busy and also not in the mood of writing articles, you can hire the free lance writers to write for you. They are called the "ghost writers".
"Ghost writers" browse websites like elance.com for jobs requests put up by people like you and me. You should state clearly what do you need them to write for you and what is your proposed budget. When picking a ghost writer, refer to his past performance from his ratings submitted by past clients. After going through his recods you should have a fair idea whether to hire him/her or not. Don't hire a writer solely on fees considerations, if you do you may end up with a sloopy job or an unfinished job.

Layout of website
When visitors arrive at your website, they will ignore your adsense ads because their subconcious minds make them so.Tweak your website's layout a little to avoid your ads being too noticable.
Do not place your ads on the side-bars like most people do. Surfers have trained their subconscious minds to ignore the side-bars after surfing the net for some time. Place the ads some where in the main body of your site. When people reading the main body their eyes are forced to scan over the ads in order to read the other portion of the main article.
Adsense allows you to change the font and colour of your ads, you should make full use of this feature to modify the font and colour of your ads in order to blend them into your website template as much as possible, and your ads will not stand out like a sore thumb.

High traffic, low clicks
Not all adsense topics receive equal clicks. Some receive high click though rates, some medium,and some none.
I have a blog on the hot topic "make money online" which draws reasonable traffic but has not earned me a single sen until today!
At first I was puzzled why these visitors did not give the adsense ads on my blog even a single click.
Then it dawns on me that people who visit websites and blogs with a topic such as "make money online" are the so called "freebies seekers". They are mostly aspiring internet marketers who want to learn more about online business but do not want to pay for it. It is understandable because they may have fallen into scams before so they avoid paid advertisements like the plague, naturally refuse to click on the adsense ads. They are unaware that by seeking free information they may fall into the same traps again because many "Gurus" use freebies as baits to lure them into buying expensive products later.
Anyway, that is beside the point, the point here is not to use topic like "make money" for your adsense websites.
Also you should not use adsense on an adults website because Google disallows it.

Mission
Then why am I building this website you may ask. Isn't the theme of this website about making money online also? Well, I am not building this site for the sole purpose of earning adsense income, my main aim here is to ceate a personality. You see, for the past many years, being an Asian, I have been using various nicknames in order to avoid discrimination from certain racist people.
Now that I feel I can stand up on my own, I want to use this website as a starting point for like minded people from Malaysia to gather around and progress jointly in the internet business.
If the response is good, I will make this site a social community network site so that we all can poll and share our resources and work together.
